David W. Paul  |  Executive Director

david paulOwner and Executive Director David W. Paul founded South Florida Home Care with a vision of providing socially responsible home care to Seniors, as well as others in need, in 2011. Mr. Paul is extremely involved in all aspects of daily operations and personally sees to it that his vision is never compromised. David's clients are the most important people in his life – all you have to do is spend five minutes talking with him about Senior care and this will prove evident.

David is a native of New Orleans and has a deep love for the spirit and culture of the area. He attended high school at Missouri Military Academy, where he was a member of the Delta Phi Honor Society and graduated as a Cadet Officer. His core values of honor and integrity were instilled here and are at the heart of everything South Florida Home Care does.

Mr. Paul’s career in the healthcare industry began in 2007 in residential psychiatric and substance abuse treatment facilities. He spent four years dedicated to everything from individual case management to residential management of in-patients. David is certified by the Florida Certification Board as an Addiction Counselor and is also internationally certified as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor. During this time, David continued his education at Springfield College where he graduated Cum Laude with a Human Services Degree.

It was while working as a Clinical Case Manager and Patient Advocate at the Hanley Center that Mr. Paul was introduced to, and fell in love with, the Senior population. Through their world renowned Substance Abuse Program for Seniors, David experienced first-hand the unique needs of this largely ignored segment of the community. At the Hanley Center, David gained invaluable experience in clinical case management for Seniors and crisis intervention for families. Nothing warms his heart more than seeing ease and peace of mind being brought to Seniors and their loved ones first-hand.

While continuing to work full-time, David began pursuit of a Master’s Degree at Northeastern University – go Huskies! Simultaneously, David started Fleur de Lis Capital with the mission of funding ventures and startup companies in the healthcare industry. He received his MBA in Business Administration in 2012.

Unfortunately, David’s ill father was placed in Hospice Care at this time, too. David traveled home to Louisiana to spend those final days with his father, a man he loved dearly. While there, Mr. Paul witnessed the high level of care provided and it sparked an interest in home care. He envisioned starting a socially responsible home care company that would conduct itself with his high level of values at heart and provide only the upmost quality of service. Out of this intensely personal experience and his professional expertise, South Florida Home Care was born. David learned during this difficult time how much a warm embrace or an infectious smile can mean to people going through similar situations. Mr. Paul personally brings this aspect to South Florida Home Care – it’s near impossible to remain sad or disheartened when David and his personality enter the room, and he finds true enjoyment out of this innate capability he carries.

David currently lives in Jupiter, Florida and is extremely involved in the local community. His love of helping people extends far beyond the boundaries of South Florida Home Care. He is an active member of the Northern Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce, where he is a trustee and is also currently acting as the Chair for the their Health Care Committee for the term ending June 30th, 2015. David and his team at South Florida Home Care have heralded Sunsets and Sea Grapes, a fundraising event, passionately for it's now third year consecutively – raising funds for a local not for profit, New Day Adult Day Care Center. David was also recognized by the Cancer Alliance of Help and Hope for being a Magnificent Leader in 2014. During his free time, when he can find it, David enjoys various forms of fitness – from golf to tennis to hitting the gym.
